On Saturday night, the Netherlands dispatched Germany 3-0 in the UEFA Nations League, propelled by goals from the Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Liverpool fans must be delighted by their Dutch duo, who performed excellently against the 2014 World Cup champions and marked their displays with well-taken goals.
And with van Dijk failing to register a goal in his ten first team appearances for the Reds in both the Premier League and Champions League this season, Liverpool fans will be eager to see the defender return to goalscoring ways back at Anfield.
Van Dijk opened the scoring half an hour in with a header off a corner. Former Red Ryan Babel crashed his initial shot off the crossbar, and the Liverpool centre-half showed great instincts to meet the rebound first time and elude Manuel Neuer.

In all, the 3-0 win lifted the Dutch to second in their Nations League group, thanks to two superb strikes from Liverpool players.
Reds supporters undoubtedly will have greeted the exploits of Virgil van Dijk, and will be hoping the centre-half can bring his goal-scoring form back to Anfield.
