Javier Hernandez
After leaving Manchester United last summer, Hernandez decided to move to the Bundesliga where his 17 goals have helped fire Bayer Leverkusen into the Champions League. Attracting the Mexican to the Liberty could prove challenging now that he is a key figure for a team with European football but would represent a massive coup for the Swans.
Why do they need him?
34 goals in their first 35 league games were the root of Swansea’s problems this season and although they have scored seven in their last two, they still have fewer goals than Sunderland and Bournemouth. With Bafetimbi Gomis not looking like rediscovering his goal-scoring touch any time soon, a front-man must be towards the top of Swansea’s summer priorities.
Swansea have often looked abroad for their strikers in recent seasons and whilst Wilfried Bony, Andre Ayew and Gomis all enjoyed success to some degree, others such as Nelson Oliveira, Eder and Alberto Paloschi have made very little impact. Therefore, a player with Premier League experience and a proven goal-scorer would be a very attractive proposition for the club and help take them to the next level.
