As the January window edges closer, Gabriel Barbosa is attracting more and more attention.
Inter Milan are reportedly willing to let Barbosa, sometimes known as Gabigol, leave this January.
And Everton are said to be one of the clubs interested in the impressive young striker.
Everton face competition from West Ham and others for Barbosa but they could have a trump card up their sleeve.
The Toffees have a strong Brazilian contingent with Bernard and Richarlison at Goodison Park.
Both players joined Marco Silva – a Portuguese speaker – in the summer and have impressed so far.
Bernard has become a regular on the left-wing and Richarlison has featured as part of Silva’s plans in the starting line-up all season.
Could the success of these two Brazilians convince fellow countryman Barbosa to move to Everton?
The 4-cap Brazil international would be joining an exciting project under Silva and the familiarity of other Brazilians would surely help him to settle quickly in England.
Barbosa struggled in Italy with Inter Milan and in Portugal with Benfica but has reignited his career back in Brazil.
The 22-year-old has 22 goals in 38 domestic games for Santos on loan and he will hope to take this form to his next club.
Everton could take a risk on Barbosa, hoping he can emulate Bernard and Richarlison’s form.
