Are The Villains goners?
Saying Aston Villa have been abysmal all season long would be a massive understatement considering how far gone they are in the fight for Premier League survival.
Remi Garde and company seem to be getting ready for life in the Championship as they’ve been absolutely lackluster during the course of the season, simply put – if anybody deserves to go down this season it’s Villa.
But all hope is not lost for Villa as Remi Garde still has a chance to mastermind the greatest escape in Premier League history, that is of course if Villa can conjure the sort of form that saw Leicester City make an epic climb out of the bottom three last season.
Judging by their performances and body language, Rock-bottom Aston Villa don’t seem to be interested in staying up although a lot can still change as they still have 9 games to play before it’s all over.
But truth be told at this stage of the season, Villa’s chances of survival are virtually zero, they seem en route to playing second tier football and the Villa fans just have to accept that fact.
Although let’s not write Villa off just yet as the romance of the Premier League could see them make a miraculous rise out of the bottom three, but if they fail to pick up at least four points in their next two games, they can kiss Premier League football goodbye.
