‘Can have him for £20m’: Some Manchester United fans urge Newcastle to sign their 30-year-old international

Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling, is being linked with a move to Newcastle, with Sky Sports reporting that Steve Bruce is keen on landing the England man,

Reports over the weekend suggested Bruce wants Smalling to bolster his defence, despite having a number of options already at his disposal.

However, with Roma already in the hunt and Smalling apparently keen on a return to Italy, any move for the England man is looking like a tough deal for the Magpies to complete.

And while Newcastle fans debated the signing amongst themselves on Twitter, Manchester United fans were also having their say on the potential deal.

It seems, then, that some Red Devils supporters would like to see Smalling stick around. Others, meanwhile, believe he could be a big improvement for Newcastle if he does land at St James’.
