Calvin Miller has posted a heartfelt message to supporters on Instagram to confirm that he will leave Celtic at the end of his current contract which expires in June – prompting reaction from Kieran Tierney and other Celtic teammates, past or present.
Scotland Under-21 international Miller, 22, managed just five senior appearances for the Hoops in all competitions while also going on loan to both Dundee and Ayr United. Miller has failed to make a single outing this season.
That is because the left-sided flyer – who can play as a left-back or on the wing – suffered a season-ending injury during a reserve match back in September. The injury forced him to go under the knife and he has since been recovering.
It comes as little surprise that Celtic have informed Miller his contract will not be renewed at Parkhead beyond June, and the defender has posted an emotional message to supporters – having initially joined the club aged just 12.

10 years of unbelievable memories and friends for life and been lucky enough to live my dream so young playing such a short part in a incredible team. Unfortunately all good things come to an end at some point but it’s time to take the next step in my career, cheers to everyone at the club ?
Celtic currently boast last summer’s signings Greg Taylor and Boli Bolingoli on the left side of defence, while Jonny Hayes can also play in that position. Even midfielder Callum McGregor has dropped back into that position.
Plenty of current and former Celtic teammates reacted to his post, including Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney, Preston’s Scott Sinclair, KRC Genk’s Kouassi Eboue, FC Midtjylland’s Erik Sviatchenko, as well as Jeremie Frimpong and Jonathan Afolabi.
