Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has shared his thoughts on Magpies goalkeeper Nick Pope on the latest episode of The Footballer’s Football Podcast.
The Newcastle forward also revealed what he jokingly said to Pope after he arrived at St James’ Park.
Newcastle brought Pope to Tyneside this summer, paying relegated Burnley £10million for his services.

The 30-year-old has hit the ground running at Newcastle, keeping back-to-back clean sheets in their opening Premier League games.
Admittedly, Pope didn’t have a particularly hard day against Nottingham Forest, who failed to register a single shot on target at St James’ Park.
However, Pope was forced into five saves as he helped guide the Magpies to a goalless draw away at Brighton.
He kept out Solly March twice and produced an incredible stop to thwart Adam Lallana’s header.
And Wilson lauded Pope for his impressive performance at the Amex Stadium.
“I’ve played against him before,” he said on The Footballer’s Football Podcast.
“He’s an unbelievable shot-stopper, and some of the saves he makes, you think how has he saved that?
“On Saturday, he basically got us the point, kept us in the game.”
Michail Antonio then said: “I’ve got a lot of goals against Popes, to be fair!”
Wilson replied: “This is the thing, I said to him – obviously he was at Burnley before, I scored a few goals against Burnley.
“I said: ‘What am I gonna do now you’re here? All my goals against you guys are gone! They’re gonna be drying up!’
“We just had a little laugh about it.”
