The Birmingham Mail has reported on Aston Villa’s stance regarding young midfielder Callum O’Hare this summer. They suggest that manager Dean Smith will assess him at the start of pre-season before deciding on the next course of action for the popular youngster.
But it is most likely that decision will revolve around whether he goes on loan to a Championship or League One team.
O’Hare is an extremely talented player. Aston Villa fans have been wanting to see the 21-year-old get a chance in the first-team for a number of seasons now.

However, O’Hare has had to bide his time and spent the end of last season in League Two on loan with Carlisle United.
That was while Aston Villa were in the Championship and, in January, looked far off a promotion push.
Now, with Aston Villa in the Premier League and investing heavily in the squad, it is unlikely O’Hare will suddenly be a first-team option.
The best option for the playmaker is to head back out on loan, at a higher level than Carlisle, and hopefully flourish away at Villa Park.
Then it might finally be time for O’Hare to be unleashed on the Aston Villa first-team.
