‘Bye then’, ‘disrespectful’: Some Arsenal fans not happy with Arteta favourite’s comments

A number of Arsenal fans have hit out at Dani Ceballos after his latest comments regarding his hopes at Real Madrid, while still on loan at the Emirates Stadium.

Last summer, the Gunners brought the 23-year-old to the Emirates Stadium on a season-long stint from the Bernabeu for a reported £15million fee (The Sun).

Ceballos was reportedly open to cutting short his stay in January as a result of a lack of game time under Unai Emery, but since worked his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans.

The Gunners boss had been won over, telling The Mirror before the football’s shutdown that he was “really happy” with Ceballos and what he added to his team.

The Mirror has claimed that the Gunners are reportedly keen to extend his stay in north London but the Spaniard has once again reiterated his desire to succeed at the Bernabeu.

“I am a Real Madrid player, and any player in the world would like to play for Real Madrid,” he told TVE, as quoted by The Mirror.

“I have a contract with them for three more years and they are the ideal team to succeed.”

Just last week, Ceballos told Deportes Cuatro, as quoted by “I am happy and I have a contract with Real Madrid.

“I am 23 years old, I’m not over the hill yet. Now I feel much more a player and I am prepared for any challenge that comes my way.”

Ceballos’ latest comments didn’t go down too well with some of the Arsenal faithful on social media:
