‘Buzzing’, ‘fantastic’: Some Rangers fans react to Ibrox transfer breakthrough
A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate Scott Wright penning a pre-contract agreement with the Ibrox outfit.
The Daily Record reported earlier this month that, after Rangers’ Scottish Premiership victory at Aberdeen, the league leaders told the Dons they intended to open talks with the 23-year-old.

Derek McInnes then confirmed discussions with the Gers had taken place, before Steven Gerrard admitted a breakthrough was “extremely close”, albeit more likely in the summer than this month.
And on Monday, Rangers confirmed that Wright had committed his future to the Premiership leaders once his Aberdeen contract expires this summer.
Here is what some Bears have been saying on social media:

I enjoy the way we conduct our business these days, credit must go to Ross Wilson for a large part of that. Welcome to Scott Wright, you’ll never play for a bigger club. Time to step up and show us what you’ve got…in 6 months time 😂

I have full trust in the people behind the scenes based on more recent additions to the Rangers team, and I trust those people will see something we as fans dont always see. I will reserve judgement till we see how he fits in next season. But good to see forward thinking.🔴⚪🔵

Seen a few saying they don’t rate him etc….I haven’t seen enough to judge but it’s a free, he adds to home grown quota and I remember many claiming kamara and jack weren’t good enough either so let’s see. Best of luck to him and welcome aboard Scott

Wright has been capped at multiple youth levels by Scotland, and has 91 competitive club appearances for the Dons and former loan club Dundee.
He can play anywhere across the forward line or in a deeper midfield role.
