A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Dani Ceballos touching upon his future at the club.

Last summer, the Gunners brought Ceballos to the Emirates Stadium on a season-long stint from Real Madrid for a reported £15million fee (The Sun).

The 23-year-old was reportedly open to cutting short his stay in January as a result of a lack of game time, but has since worked his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans.

A report from the Evening Standard claimed that Arsenal are relaxed about the possibility of extending Ceballos’ loan at the Emirates Stadium beyond 30 June in case the 2019-20 season stretches beyond then.

On 31 March, Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo suggested that the player was keen on returning to Real Betis instead of a potential permanent move to Arsenal, but the following day, he broke his silence, in conversation with El Chiringuito de Jugones.

“I finish my contract on June 30. I would have to play for Arsenal, I don’t know how (it would work),” he said. “The relationship of the future would be irresponsible for me to speak about.

“The most important thing will be to be important for my new team. I came to Arsenal to be important and in less than a month it has disappeared (due to the global health crisis).”

The midfielder also admitted that he could have left Arsenal in January with interest from other clubs, adding:  “My agent told me about the interest of other teams but I did not play because I was coming back from injury.

“I started training and changed my situation. In the last month-and-a-half I felt important. I knew about Valencia’s interest.”

Here is what some Arsenal fans have said on social media:

According to El Desmarque, Real value Ceballos at €40million (£35million).
