Everton star Jean-Philippe Gbamin struggled slightly against Crystal Palace, but fans are in for a real treat according to Bundesliga expert Daniel Pinder.
The editor-in-chief of Get German Football News has been speaking about the Toffees’ new £25 million recruit, and believes the club have a top player on their hands.

Interestingly, Pinder says that Gbamin is primarily a box-to-box player due to his physicality – but that side to his game likely won’t be seen much at Everton.
He told The Liverpool Echo: “Gbamin is extremely athletic, possessing great energy while his tackling is up there amongst the best. He’ll always give everything and the comparisons to Yaya Toure aren’t far off.
“In today’s market, Jean-Philippe Gbamin at £25m is a steal.”
Many have assumed Gbamin will be the natural replacement for Idrissa Gueye, but Pinder says Everton are getting a ‘different player’.
TBR’s view
Gbamin may have struggled at Palace but he will obviously improve as he adapts to the Premier League.
Pinder’s assessment of the player will massively encourage Everton fans.

The fact that he has the ability to play a bit like Manchester City legend Toure is very exciting.
Gbamin’s fellow countryman is undeniably one of the Premier League’s greatest foreign exports, and wowed with his ability to be a force.
If Gbamin can get anywhere near his level, then are Everton fans are in for a treat.
