Bukayo Saka reacts to what Cedric did in stoppage-time of Arsenal win

Bukayo Saka has lauded Cedric Soares with a three-word message on the defender’s Instagram post after what he did during stoppage-time as Arsenal beat Norwich on Saturday.

There were a lot more promising signs from Arsenal. But obviously, that would have done little to help the nerves with the scoreline still only 1-0 in stoppage-time.

And as the full-time whistle loomed, Teemu Pukki won a free-kick on the halfway line for the visitors.

The ball eventually found its way to Pukki inside the box. But his attempt was stopped by a brilliant block from Cedric, who had replaced Ainsley Maitland-Niles around 10 minutes earlier.

Cedric took to Instagram following the game to express his delight at the win. And in response, Saka lauded the full-back for that crucial moment…

Arteta vindicated for raft of changes as Arsenal beat Norwich in much better display

Arteta made some brave calls for Saturday’s game. Of course, the most obvious was surely leaving Bernd Leno out and bringing Aaron Ramsdale in.

But the likes of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles also impressed in an important win for Arsenal.

Obviously, fans will not be getting carried away. The Gunners still have a lot of work to do. And unfortunately, it looks set to be another tough year for Norwich.

But there were definitely a number of signs that suggest that Arsenal can bounce back from their disappointing start.
