Arsenal could be facing up to a problem when it comes to star player Bukayo Saka thanks to an injury problem.
The England winger has been Arsenal’s main man this season once again and is the club’s top scorer as 2024 kicks off.
Saka’s form has been the pick of the bunch among the regular front three. Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are both struggling for goals, leaving Saka to be the top dog.
However, there could be a problem for Arsenal, with Saka actually nursing an injury as we head into the new year.
Bukayo Saka is injured for Arsenal
According to The Mirror, Saka has been playing with an injury for the last few weeks as he tries to nurse himself through games.
It’s claimed that Saka is struggling with an achilles injury that is a problem in terms of it being recurring.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has used Saka extensively and he was on the scoresheet last time out as the Gunners lot at Fulham.

However, with a busy second half of the season to come and the transfer window open, Arteta must now decide if there’s a better way he can manage Saka.
The last thing the Spaniard will want is to see his star winger go down with a problem that sees him out for the longer term.
Arsenal need to manage Saka
It’s all well and good playing your best players as often as possible but there have been moments this season where Mikel Arteta could have rested Saka a bit more.
He is often left on when others get subbed, even in games the Gunners are dominating.
That, for Arsenal fans, will be a worry and it’s now imperative that the club and Arteta manage Saka the best they can to get the best out of him.
If that means a rest here and there in games, then so be it. Saka is that important to Arsenal that they simply have to look after him as much as possible.
