Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has given massive credit to manager Mikel Arteta for the impact he’s had on him, claiming he’s been able to help him reach another level.
The 19-year-old is a highly-rated talent to come through the Gunners academy and he’s developed into an important first-team player under Arteta.
Saka, who is involved in the senior England squad during the international break, is growing into a regular for Arsenal and his ability to play several positions is a big help.
The teenager is a versatile player that has shown he can slot in at left-back or into a more central attacking area, but he’s regarded as a left-winger by trade and that’s arguably where he’s at his best.
Speed machine Saka has commented on the help he’s had from Arteta:
“He’s amazing for me. Since he’s come in I feel like my game has gone to the next level, he’s unlocked a bit of my potential and hopefully he can unlock more,” Saka said, as quoted by the England’s official Youtube account.
“I’ve played in many different positions that I never imagined I could play in. Growing up I’ve always been out on the wing, but now he’s taught me how to play more inside. I’m so happy to be working with him, he’s a good coach.”

TBR’s View:
Saka is a rising star making a name for himself at Arsenal and Arteta is certainly getting the best out of him, but it’s a common theme from the manager that he’s willing to give young players a chance if they’re good enough.
Everything appears to be moving in the right direction with Arteta at the helm and the signing of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid on deadline day is a real statement that the North London club are pushing hard for a top four finish.
Saka is going to play a key role throughout the campaign and at his young stage of his career he’ll be thrilled to be featuring regardless of which position he’s in.
