‘Buckets of potential’: Tottenham fans react to Tanguy Ndombele’s comments

Tanguy Ndombele has insisted that there is a lot more to come from him at Tottenham – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted with real excitement to his comments.

Ndombele completed a move to Spurs in the 2019 summer transfer window from Lyon, which was a club record transfer fee of £53.8million (BBC).

The 23-year-old midfielder is yet to fully hit top gear at the North London club and he wasn’t really in favour with manager Jose Mourinho last season, but he’s started the new campaign like a new player.

He’s scored two goals in his opening nine appearances this season across all competitions and he’s clearly now winning over Mourinho after featuring in all six Premier League matches so far.

Ndombele is an all-action central midfielder that thrives in a box-to-box role where he can drive forward and he’s a technical player with great close control, as well as being a goal threat for his side.

He’s recently made comments about his form:

“I don’t think we have seen the best of Tanguy Ndombele yet. I’m on the right track but there’s still more to come,” he told Sky Sports.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are delighted to see his promising start to the season and can’t wait to see his development.

Aged 23, there is still so much potential that the French powerhouse can fulfil and it’s a massive relief that Mourinho is now on his side.

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko sat deeper in the midfield, it allows Ndombele to roam a little more freely and he’s starting to show the kind of for he previously had with Lyon.
