Bryan Oviedo to Scotland and Lewis Morgan to England would be great business for Sunderland and Celtic

Sunderland look set to sign Lewis Morgan from Celtic. The Scotland winger has previously played under Sunderland boss Jack Ross at St Mirren. As reported by the Scottish Daily Record, the wide-man has decided he wants to join the Black Cats ahead of Scottish rivals Aberdeen.

It would be a brilliant piece of recruitment from the Black Cats and Celtic would be giving one of their younger players a chance of regular football.

But whilst Celtic and Sunderland are in talks, they should certainly be considering another deal

Celtic could certainly use his services.

Oviedo would provide Celtic with much-needed cover in the full-back positions. Emilio Izaguirre has not covered himself in glory when stepping in for Kieran Tierney. Callum McGregor has done better, but Celtic have missed his presence in midfield when that switch has been made.

Oviedo would provide perfect cover at left-back and can also play in midfield or, in an emergency, from the right.

AS in Central America is now reporting this deal could happen and Sunderland would be killing two birds with the transfer. Morgan would be a big help in attack whilst Oviedo’s reported £25k-a-week wages could be taken off the books.

Both teams would be winners from this double deal.
