Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil was spotted with his head in his hands after Oliver Skipp missed a glorious opportunity against Portsmouth on Saturday.

Spurs booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup over the weekend after Harry Kane’s 265th goal for the club secured a 1-0 win.

Pompey put in a resilient display, particularly in the first-half, but a moment of magic from Kane ensured there was no upset in north London.

The League One outfit frustrated Antonio Conte’s men in the opening 45 minutes but the chances flowed after half-time.

Of course, Kane took his half-chance with ease but Skipp missed a huge opportunity to make it 2-0.

Gil spotted with his head in his hands after Skipp miss

Tottenham posted a video on their official YouTube channel today, which shows Conte’s reaction throughout the game. But it was Gil’s reaction to Skipp’s wasted chance that caught the eye.

Kane was involved once again as he played a pinpoint pass into Gil inside the Pompey box.

The Spaniard’s heavy touch fell kindly to Skipp, who blazed his effort well over the crossbar from six-yards out.

Gil was spotted with his head in his hands after the missed chance, probably wondering how Skipp hadn’t even managed to hit the target.

Luckily for the Tottenham youngster, his miss didn’t prove too costly as Conte’s men managed to see out an important win.

Conte gave some of his younger players an opportunity on Saturday, with the likes of Pape Matar Sarr, Skipp and Gil all getting the nod.

Skipp was a mainstay in the Italian’s side at the start of his tenure but has lost his place after multiple injury setbacks.

The Spurs academy product will be hoping to build on being handed consecutive starts over the past week as he looks ahead to a huge clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
