Bryan Gil holds the key to Tottenham going full throttle under Nuno
Bryan Gil is the key to Tottenham’s attacking football.
The Spanish winger is still adjusting to life at Tottenham, but he is undoubtedly an incredible player.
Against Wolves in Carabao Cup action last night the 20-year-old was simply unplayable.
He was a constant thorn in the side of the Molineux faithful, weaving his way through their defence time and time again.
Of his 32 accurate passes, 27 came in the Wolves’ half as he took the game to Nuno’s former club.
He also won seven of his 12 duels, all three of his tackles and was fouled three times (FotMob).
Goals will come in time for Gil.
He’s certainly shown sparks of brilliance and this is a man who has garnered a serious reputation in his homeland.
Bryan Gil is the key to Tottenham’s attacking football
Gil just needs to keep racking up the minutes for Tottenham.
He was the main outlet against Wolves and Nuno has to use him in that role.
Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane will score most of the goals, but Gil can be the catalyst for Nuno to play attacking football.
His ability to drag defenders out of position and draw fouls makes him a wildcard at Spurs.
Given the fact that Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn are doubts for Sunday, Gil must start vs Arsenal.
He provides movement off the ball, an outlet option for Spurs when under pressure and someone who can dribble out of trouble.
Putting the pressure for Nuno’s football on him is a lot given his age, yet he already looks assured.
Arsenal are next for Gil and if the Lilywhites want to play attacking football then the Spaniard is key.
