For every quality player Arsenal sign, it would seem that the Gunners let a top prospect slip through their fingers.
A quick Google search will throw up the names of several high profile stars who might have joined the north Londoners at one point in their career.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, it’s looking like another player might be added to that list before too long.

On Wednesday, Lyon defeated Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash, and it was Bruno Guimaraes who played a starring role for the Ligue 1 side.
According to Squawka, the Brazilian finished the game having had 68 touches, six ball recoveries, four interceptions, three tackles, two take-ons and one shot on target.
He also had a pass accuracy of 96% in the opposition half, and 86% in all areas.
Considering it was his Champions League debut, it was a highly impressive display by Bruno.
TBR’s view – Another one that got away for Arsenal
Arsenal were linked with a move for the player in January (Goal Brasil), but a move never materialised and Lyon stole in for a reported €20 million/£17 million (Goal).

He’s played just two games for Lyon, and already he’s looking like a big regret for Arsenal – he also wowed on his debut against Metz.
Granit Xhaka appears to have turned over a new leaf under Mikel Arteta, which may ultimately have been the reason the club didn’t push to sign the South American.
With Bruno already living up to his hype though, it may ultimately be hard for fans not to see him as another ‘one that got away’.
