Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes enjoyed a fruitful international break.
The Portugal duo helped their nation reach the finals of the 2022 World Cup via the playoffs.
First, Portugal saw off Turkey 3-1 last Thursday before beating North Macedonia 2-0 on Tuesday night.

The Liverpool ace scored in their semi-final and then assisted the Red Devils man in their final.
Fernandes fired home following a one-two with Cristiano Ronaldo for the 32nd-minute opener.
He then volleyed home Jota’s cross on 65 minutes to make sure of victory and a place in the World Cup finals.
The result means Portugal have now reached a sixth World Cup in a row.
After the match, Liverpool’s Jota took to Instagram with photos from Porto and the caption “Catar” (Qatar in Portuguese).
Fernandes replied with “tinha olhos a bola”, Portuguese for “had eyes on the ball”.

A wonderful occasion for Jota, Fernandes and everyone else connected with Portugal.
Now, the Liverpool ace and the Manchester United counterpart will get back to being rivals.
That was the final international break of the season, which is now entering the home straight.
Liverpool are back in action on Saturday, when they host Watford at Anfield in a 12:30pm kickoff.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils host Leicester at Old Trafford in a 5:30pm kickoff on the same day.
Liverpool are just one point off top spot in the league and are still in Champions League and FA Cup contention.
Meanwhile, United will hope to finish in the top four of the league and qualify for the Champions League.
