Bruno Fernandes helped Manchester United to their second win in pre-season against Bournemouth, battering the Cherries 4-1 in America.

Goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu, Amad and Ethan Williams delighted Ruben Amorim in Chicago, where the Red Devils picked apart Abdibu Iraola’s side in fabulous fashion.

There were a number of star performers for Manchester United, with a lot of players fighting for a place in the starting XI ahead of the new season.

Two of which very much impressed United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes on Patrick Dorgu

One individual who shone in particular on the night was Patrick Dorgu. The Belgian had arguably his best game in a Manchester United shirt, grabbing a goal and an assist on the evening.

This was noted by his captain, who called him a ‘beast’ on social media.

His manager, Amorim, also praised the young talent. He said: “It’s impressive.

“He’s 20 years old. He looks more and more like he belongs in Manchester United, and that is hard to do it [at] 20 years old, but he’s so powerful, he’s getting his technique in his game, he’s defending so well, he’s pressing so well. So I’m really impressed with Patrick.”

Dorgu has been criticised since his United move, but he certainly won over a few fans with his display in the States.

Bruno Fernandes on Ethan Williams

Alongside Dorgu’s praise, the duo also showered compliments on Ethan Williams. Fernandes once again took to Instagram, with the message: ‘Well done, kid.’

Again, Amorim also spoke post-match on Williams, in particular about his strike. “I celebrate that goal,” the Portuguese began.

“It’s not usual, even during the season, but I celebrate that goal, because I really like to see the kids who work really well. They didn’t have a lot of space during training, but still they are there, they understand the idea, they pressed, they fight.

“So I’m really pleased with them. They control the game. They try to score more goals, so I’m really pleased.”The Portuguese began.

Both will be looking to impress once more when Manchester United take on Everton on Sunday evening.
