Manchester United have had an up and down season to say the least.
Under Ruben Amorim at the start of this campaign, things weren’t exactly going to plan.
The Red Devils were dropping points left, right and centre under Amorim, and while some of their new signings looked exciting, things weren’t fully clicking.
However, in the second half of the season under Michael Carrick, United have come good.
United have been arguably the best team in England since the turn of the year, and while the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes have received plenty of praise, there have been a few unsung heroes too.
Speaking to Manchester United’s TikTok page, Bruno Fernandes has named who he believes has been the unsung hero of the season.

Bruno Fernandes names Diogo Dalot as Manchester United’s unsung hero
Bruno Fernandes, and numerous other Manchester United players, were asked to name their unsung hero of the season.
Senne Lammens was a popular answer among the squad after a stellar debut season.
However, Fernandes opted to pick his fellow countryman, Diogo Dalot.
Diogo Dalot has long been a divisive figure at Manchester United, but, it has to be said, he’s had a solid season.
The Portugal international has started the majority of games for United this term, and, like many of his teammates, rediscovered his best form under Michael Carrick.
Of course, as we’ve seen under numerous managers over the years, Dalot can be a player who blows hot and cold, but, to his credit, he has been on the hot side of that spectrum for some time now.
Whether or not Michael Carrick can continue to get these sorts of performances out of Dalot heading into next season remains to be seen, but it is a fair assessment from Fernandes to call him an unsung hero from this campaign.
