'Broony': Kieran Tierney has new nickname for Arsenal teammate after new haircut
Rob Holding has showed off his new haircut – or lack of it – on Instagram as he and Arsenal continue pre-season preparations in Scotland. The Gunners suffered defeat in their opening match north of the border, a 2-1 loss to Hibernian. Kieran Tierney has a Scotland-linked nickname for Holding.
Arsenal remain in Scotland as they take on Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Saturday at Ibrox. It is a match in which Celtic icon Tierney takes in his old club’s bitter rivals. Holding could also feature in the match, given he did not play in the defeat to Hibs at Easter Road – even as a sub.
If Holding is a part of the side that takes on Rangers this weekend, then Arsenal fans will see Holding sporting a bald head. The centre-back has shaved it all off ahead of the new season, posting a picture of himself in training with the new do. He captioned the post “new signing”.
What has Tierney said about Arsenal star Holding?
Tierney could also play on Saturday as – like Holding – he missed the game against Hibs. The left-back was known for many things during his time at Celtic, a boyhood Celtic fan and a marauding left winger. But the left-back was also known for his relationship with Scott Brown.
Brown has since left Celtic after 16 years to join Aberdeen. The legendary Celtic midfielder was arguably one of the club’s best-ever players. Of course, Brown is renowned for his bald head and Tierney has a new nickname for Arsenal star Holding. Commenting on Instagram, he likened Holding to “Broony”.
