Arne Slot has been putting his Liverpool players through their paces this week as he’s been undertaking his first sessions as the Reds’ new manager.
It’s pre-season, so, inevitably, that means a ton of fitness work for the players returning from their summer breaks.
Liverpool, famously, used to undertake a lactate test at the start of every summer, but now, that has been replaced by a six-minute sprinting race.
StatSports have posted a TikTok video of the Liverpool players taking part in this race, and it’s fair to say it looks gruelling.
Jarell Quansah was out on his back in this video of this drill, but the more interesting insight was in the comments of the TikTok where the winner of the race was revealed.

Conor Bradley won Arne Slot’s first fitness test
StatSports shared some insight into Liverpool training after filming the session.
One viewer commented: ‘Who won this year?’
StatSports responded saying: “They’re not all back yet, but of the group who are back, Conor Bradley.”
Conor Bradley going from strength to strength
Conor Bradley is going from strength to strength at Liverpool right now.
The Northern Irishman broke into the first-team under Jurgen Klopp last season, and it appears as though he’s wasted no time in impressing Arne Slot.
Of course, we’re yet to see how Slot’s team will line up and how he will use his full-backs, but if he wants to use a more balanced system, Bradley would be a great option at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold potentially moving into midfield.
The 21-year-old still has plenty to prove at Anfield, but he’s impressed whenever he’s played.
Now, it looks as though he’s also making a serious impression behind the scenes as he’s proving to be one of Liverpool’s fittest players in pre-season.
Don’t be shocked if Bradley ends up being a key player under Arne Slot.
