BBC pundit Chris Sutton was blown away by what Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino did against Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men ran out 1-0 winners at Anfield today and capped off a brilliant week. After a disappointing defeat at the Emirates, the Reds smashed Rangers at the Ibrox on Wednesday and have now beaten the Premier League champions.
Mohamed Salah’s second-half effort secured the win for Liverpool as he held-off Joao Cancelo brilliantly before lifting the ball over Ederson.
But the Egyptian was denied by the City goalkeeper earlier in the half after Firmino played him through on goal. And Sutton has praised the Brazilian striker for his part in creating the chance.

Sutton blown away by Firmino
At the beginning of the second period, Harvey Elliott played the ball to Firmino just inside the Liverpool half.
The 31-year-old played a first-time pass that cut the City defence wide open and put Salah in on goal. But Ederson got his fingertips to the effort to deny Liverpool an opener.
And Sutton highlighted Firmino’s pass on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It’s a brilliant touch from Firmino and he slides Salah through,” he said.
“He sees Ederson coming out, Salah is trying to find the far corner and it’s a sensational save from Ederson.
“What an excellent piece of goalkeeping. Just how big a save could that be?”

Firmino put in another massive shift for Klopp’s side before being replaced by Darwin Nunez in the 73rd minute.
The Brazilian constantly pressured the City defence in a display that looked more like the Liverpool side who challenged for the quadruple last season.
Firmino has been brilliant for the Reds this season after it looked like his place was under threat to summer signing Darwin Nunez. The striker has bagged six goals and put up three assists in the Premier League so far.
Klopp will be hoping his side have turned a corner after two very promising displays this week.
