Glasgow Rangers let Wes Foderingham leave Ibrox at the end of last season, and this week, a new club has snapped up the 29-year-old.
Foderingham joined Rangers in 2015, helping the club earn promotion back to the Scottish Premiership the following season, and clocking up 143 appearances overall.
However, the 29-year-old made just 13 appearances in two seasons under Steven Gerrard, and was moved on at the end of the 2019-20 campaign after his Ibrox contract expired.
With Allan McGregor in such great form for Rangers, Foderingham struggled to reclaim his first-team spot, but many Bears were sad to see him go when the departure announcement was made.
The Englishman was always expected to go south of the border, but few could have predicted he’d have instantly joined a side still in with a shout of finishing in the Premier League’s top seven.
Here is what some Blades fans have been saying on social media about the former Gers man’s arrival:
As a blade and a regular at ibrox I think he is a good signing ⚔️⚔️????

he’s looked decent from what i’ve seen of him, definitely better than our current backups, and we’d be hard pressed to sign anyone on the same level as Deano permanently
