West Ham United manager David Moyes has been praised by BBC Sport pundit Gary Lineker following their Premier League victory on Monday night.

The Hammers have been flying high all season and briefly moved into the top four after running out 3-0 winners over Sheffield United at the London Stadium.

West Ham, who had an early penalty ruled out by VAR, took the lead from the spot five minutes before half time through a penalty won by Jesse Lingard and converted by Declan Rice.

Issa Diop’s header then doubled the hosts’ lead in the 58th minute before substitute Ryan Fredericks wrapped up a comprehensive victory for the Hammers in stoppage time.

It was West Ham’s 12th league win of the season and they now have 42 points from 24 games, which puts them fifth in the table, level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea.

Only in 1983-84 (43) and 1985-86 (48) have the Hammers had more points on the board at this stage of a top-flight campaign.

And Lineker piled the praise on Moyes for the brilliant job he’s doing:

Up next for West Ham is Sunday’s Premier League home meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.
