Liverpool have once again made positive headlines this weekend after Henry Winter revealed the club’s players had made a classy gesture.
In light of the recent break enforced on football due to the ongoing virus issues in the world, a lot of staff and club workers could be set to see their pay disrupted.

This includes the likes of charity workers and other local community efforts in place around each club.
Experienced journalist Winter revealed via his Twitter account that the Reds had agreed to cover shortfalls a local food bank charity may experience. This is, in part, due to them not being able to collect donations on match-days.
It is believed that Reds skipper, Jordan Henderson, reached out to offer the squad’s support for the charity.
It is, of course, a wonderful gesture from the Liverpool team. However, it’s not the only kind-hearted move we have seen from football clubs this weekend.
Aston Villa and Brighton have both confirmed food donations. It’s widely expected, too, that a number of other clubs have followed suit despite not publicising it.
But this gesture from the Liverpool team certainly caught the eye. Indeed, Twitter was awash with comments from fans of numerous clubs singing their praises.
We’ve taken a look at some of the reaction to Liverpool’s commitment to helping a local food bank.
