Brighton are the latest Premier League side to be reportedly interested in raiding Celtic for hotshot striker Odsonne Edouard this summer – and fans of the Seagulls have suggested a player-plus-cash deal, with Celtic linked with one of their players.
The Times claim Brighton are the latest to enter the race to sign 22-year-old Edouard, who scored a whopping 27 goals for the Scottish champions last season – and even laid on an impressive 19 assists. He has a contract at Celtic until 2022.
Edouard has been linked with numerous Premier League sides over the past few weeks, but as the window grows older – it looks more and more likely that the Frenchman will remain at Celtic for another season.

However, Brighton may have something to say about that – with The Mail claiming Celtic want to sign 28-year-old powerhouse Shane Duffy. It is believed talks have already been held to sign the Ireland international on loan.
While Brighton are supposedly after a permanent sale with West Ham and West Brom interested in such a move, surely Brighton could take advantage of Celtic’s interest in Duffy by helping them complete a deal for Edouard.
Brighton supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Duffy is a target for Neil Lennon’s side, by proposing a player-plus-cash deal that would see boyhood Celtic fan (Argus) Duffy move north – and Edouard to the Amex Stadium.
