Brighton and Hove Albion were unlucky to find themselves on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat as they hosted Chelsea the AMEX Stadium last night.
Jorginho, Reece James and Kurt Zouma ensured victory for Frank Lampard’s men, with Leandro Trossard briefly restoring parity for the Seagulls in the second half.
The man of the hour proved to be Tariq Lampety though, with the former Chelsea youngster showing the Blues exactly what they were missing.
A 19-year-old right-wing back, he was plucked by Brighton from Chelsea in January and last night showcased his talents with a lung-busting display.

He set up Trossard’s goal and was a constant menace to the Chelsea left-hand side throughout the contest.
The youngster featured eight times for Brighton last season and looks set to enjoy a stunning breakthrough campaign during 2020/21.
Seagulls supporters were certainly impressed by his performance and after last night’s game, they took to Twitter to rave about the performer.
It already looks like a poor decision from Chelsea to allow to him leave and they could have perhaps allowed him a couple more year of development at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s loss is Brighton’s gain, however, and here is a selection of Tweets from the supporters after Lamptey’s stunning performance.
