Leeds United hammered Chelsea this afternoon as they produced a stellar performance at Elland Road in front of the Sky cameras.
Jesse Marsch’s side had the upper hand on Thomas Tuchel’s Blues throughout the 90 minutes as goals from Brandon Aaronson, Rodrigo and then Jack Harrison ensured it was a memorable day in West Yorkshire for the Leeds fans.

Of course, one of the driving forces behind Leeds’ success is their support base, especially at Elland Road. The famous old stadium can be a nightmare for away teams to visit and that was something that former Leeds striker, Brian Deane, wanted to point out when giving his reaction to the game.
Taking to Twitter, Deane – who scored 42 goals for Leeds – pointed out how surprised he was in the performance of the Leeds XI and insisted that the home crowd had had a huge role to play in the victory.
Leeds will be looking to make Elland Road something of a fortress this season. They’ve made the ideal start in doing that as well, winning both their games and scoring five goals.
TBR’s View: Leeds Can Stay Up Just Winning At Home
Rest assured, Leeds United can avoid any sort of relegation battle just by winning their home games and ensuring Elland Road is a tough place to come.
Winning like they did today against Chelsea was massive. They not only played very well and took their chances, but they made a Chelsea side who have top four hopes look more than ordinary.
Leeds can be really excited by their start this season and the new signings they’ve made already look to have settled in well to proceedings. Certainly, after losing the likes of Raphinha and Phillips, Jesse Marsch deserves massive credit.
