Ezri Konsa completed a move to Aston Villa on Thursday afternoon after impressing at Brentford throughout the 2018-19 campaign – but it seems Brentford fans are happy with the move.
Goal claim Villa have splashed £12million to land the 21-year-old defender, who helped Brentford keep 11 Championship clean sheets in 42 league games last season from centre-back.
The move sees Dean Smith complete a second move for Konsa, who has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League. Smith signed Konsa for Brentford last summer, while still in charge of the Bees.

Konsa becomes Aston Villa’s seventh signing this summer, following Kortney Hause, Anwar El Ghazi, Tyrone Mings, Jota, Wesley Moraes and Matty Targett. It remains to be seen how long a contract he has agreed.
The former Charlton Athletic ace will now be tasked with helping Villa remain in the Premier League come May 2020, though he has a fight on his hands to win a place in the starting eleven at Villa Park.
Brentford fans reacted to the news that their club have offloaded Konsa this summer, and many are seemingly happy with the decision given that the club have landed Pontus Jansson and Ethan Pinnock already.
12 million for our 4th choice centre back?, when we’ve signed 2 better ones for around 8 mil, don’t mind if we do 🤷🏻♂️

Good business for both clubs, all the best @Ekonsa15 🙌🏼

Good defender but more than happy to see him go for nice money with the defenders we’ve bought in

Great potential but made quite a few mistakes. He’s still young though. Will get better but for such a profit within a year, that’s way too good money to turn down, especially with who we’ve brought in.

Good luck. Good for both parties imo
