Brendan Rodgers should keep close eye on fitness of Celtic ace Tom Rogic

Celtic’s attacking midfielder Tom Rogic is regarded as one of of the most naturally gifted players at Parkhead and he enjoyed a brilliant run in the side before the international break.

The 25-year-old was at his dazzling best and completed 90 minutes in the club’s last three consecutive games across all competitions.

He had only completed the entire 90 minutes in three previous games this season before that run and it’s been rare for him to play full matches back-to-back.

Rogic has had some trouble with a spate of injuries since he joined in 2013, but appears to be at the peak of his powers now and that’s great news for the club.

The left-footed playmaker has been called up for the Australia squad during the break, who face South Korea on Saturday and Lebanon on Tuesday in friendly matches.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers should be keeping a close eye on how Rogic plays in the game and needs to be careful he’s not given too heavy a workload.

He has started the last seven matches for Australia and it seems unlikely he will get much of a break over the next two weeks.

Celtic face Hamilton when domestic football resumes before a crunch tie away to Rosenborg and it’s vital they have star man Rogic at his brilliant best for the Europa League group stage fixture.
