Arsenal have once again been linked with a move for Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans, over the weekend.
Reports have suggested that Tielemans has rejected the chance to sign a new contract with the Foxes. That’s led to some suggesting that the Belgian could be on his way out, with Leicester set to ask for around £40m for their man.

However, Tielemans played and played well for the Foxes against West Ham today. And speaking after the game to the BBC, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers shot down talks of a move away as things stand.
“Firstly he has not declined (a new contract). I have seen stories but the position is exactly the same. He is a fantastic player and there has been no movement. He has worked well and until his last days here, he will always give his best. He is a top professional and you saw his commitment today,” Rodgers commented.
Tielemans’ contract expires in the summer of 2023 and as yet, he has shown no indication he is going to extend that deal.
90Min have claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, and Manchester United are all keen on him.
TBR’s View: Big Summer For Leicester And Tielemans
This is a bit like the Gini Wijnaldum scenario with Liverpool last year. Yes, Leicester could probably sell for a decent fee this summer if Tielemans isn’t staying. But on the other hand, he’d be hard to replace so if he’s willing to work hard, they could keep him for the season anyway.
Tielemans has been a roaring success since he arrived. Of course, he might feel he has outgrown the club. If that is the case, then the club and the player need to find the best outcome.
But Brendan Rodgers is pretty clear here.
