Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has hailed the quality of upcoming opponents Tottenham, stating that they now look like a Jose Mourinho team.
Spurs host Leicester on Sunday afternoon for a Premier League fixture and both clubs lost in their previous games, but still sit second and fourth respectively in the table.
Despite losing top spot in the table midweek, second-placed Spurs are having a strong season so far and many now consider them to be genuine title contenders.
They’re playing with an identity under experienced manager Mourinho where they are resilient defensively, while going forward they are dangerous in counter-attacks and can play some slick football.
Meanwhile, fourth-placed Leicester are once again around the European positions and since winning the league title have made themselves a nuisance to the ‘elite’ clubs in England.
Rodgers will take the Foxes to North London over the weekend and has shown huge respect to opponents Spurs with his pre-match comments.
“They’re set up very well. They’re very good on the counter-attack and are well organised. They have talents in Kane and Son that can cause you problems. They look like Jose’s team now,” Rodgers said, as quoted by Leicester’s official Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
If there is one player that epitomises the new-look Spurs under Mourinho, then it has to be midfield enforcer Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has been sensational since he joined in the summer from Southampton and is so effective with his aggressive tackling in front of the back four, which allows more of the creative players in front of him to flourish.
Eric Dier is another individual thriving under Mourinho, with the Portuguese boss rejuvenating his career by moving him to centre-back.
