Sunderland full-back Denver Hume has praised Black Cats youngsters Jack Diamond, Dan Neil and Ollie Younger for their efforts so far in the senior team.
The 22-year-old came through the Academy of Light and has made 66 senior appearances for Sunderland, including 16 this season.
Hume has missed more than three months of action since picking up a serious hamstring injury against Wigan in early December, and is currently working his way back to fitness.

In conversation with the Sunderland media team, the left-back touched upon numerous topics including his recovery, competition in the squad, and his time in the academy.
“It’s really good to see lads who you grew up playing alongside doing so well,” said Hume.
“I came through with Embo [Elliot Embleton], Josh Maja, Joel Asoro… George Honeyman, [Lynden] Gooch as well.
“All very good players – and we have some good youngsters coming through now: Jack Diamond, Dan Neil, Ollie Younger… they’re all breaking through and doing well.”
Diamond made his breakthrough this season, the 21-year-old winger making 26 senior appearances in 2020-21 and 29 overall.
Neil, a 19-year-old midfielder, has made eight senior appearances this term, and 21-year-old defender Younger is on four senior appearances for the Black Cats.
