Shakhtar Donestk star Tete has namechecked Liverpool and Manchester United when asked by DAZN where he sees his future away from the Ukrainian giants.

The versatile winger was asked to cite the clubs he dreams of playing at and included the Premier League duo alongside Barcelona.

Tete has played 13 times for Shakhtar this season, scoring and registering one assist during a 3-2 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.

He has two assists to his name in the Ukrainian top-flight but has yet to score this season on the domestic front.

The Brazilian performer was quizzed on his future and he’s now mentioned the clubs that he’d love to turn out for.

He told DAZN: “I always want to make bigger leaps. It’s normal to dream from a young age to play for big teams and for me it’s no different.

“I always dream of playing for Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, as I mentioned. The special affection I have is for Barcelona.”

It seems madness to suggest that the reigning Premier League champions need another attacking outlet.

With Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota all available, the fight for a shirt is fierce.

Tete has the attributes which suggest he might be a decent addition to the Anfield ranks though.

He can operate on both flanks, is quick and simply loves to take opposition defenders on.

At present, there is absolutely no suggestion that Liverpool are interested in the youngster.

In the near future, Jurgen Klopp might look to strengthen his attacking ranks though and why not Tete?

Although he reserves special praise for Barcelona his comments suggest he wouldn’t exactly turn his nose up at a move to Anfield.

Tete could be one to watch for Liverpool.
