Brazilian midfielder says £6m Arsenal player is even better than Kaoru Mitoma

Gabriel Martinelli is undoubtedly one of the best left wingers in the Premier League.

The Arsenal star has been absolutely brilliant over the past 18 months or so, and he’s established himself as one of the best wingers in the league.

Of course, there are plenty of quality wingers in the Premier League right now, especially down that left side.

The likes of Luis Diaz and Jack Grealish are two of the best left-sided players in the league, while Kaoru Mitoma has established himself as another top talent.

Speaking to Goal on TikTok, Brazilian midfielder and MLS star Evander, has been discussing some of the Premier League’s best players, and he made it clear just how highly he rates Gabriel Martinelli, claiming that he is in fact better than Mitoma.

The midfielder spoke about these two players.

“Mitoma or Martinelli?” Evander was asked.

“Martinelli,” Evander answered.”

Two top players

Martinelli and Mitoma are undoubtedly two of the best and most skilful wingers in the Premier League, and it’s very hard to separate these two.

Mitoma may be a bit better on the ball in terms of his dribbling abilities, but Martinelli is much more lethal in terms of end product.

The £6m man’s combination of speed, directness and finishing ability make him one of the most dangerous attacking players in the Premier League, and while Mitoma is brilliant in his own right, you only have to look at the goalscoring numbers over the past 12 months to see why Evander has swayed on this side of the argument.

Mitoma is undoubtedly a brilliant player who would flourish at a top club like Arsenal, but Martinelli is already doing the business at the very top level, and on Wednesday, he has a chance to show just how good he is on the biggest stage in the Champions League.
