Brazilian legend Kaka comments on facing Celtic

There once was an occasion when Celtic v AC Milan at Parkhead was a major Champions League fixture.

But with crowds absent and both clubs no longer at the peak of their European powers, that was not the case last night as the Italian side claimed a 3-1 win over the Bhoys.

It was a game that used to be blessed by the presence of some top stars, including Kaka.

The Brazilian legend was facing off with Celtic when he was ostensibly the best player in world football and it was clearly a fixture that he revelled in.

Kaka took to Twitter yesterday, prior to his former club’s win against the Scottish champions, to highlight just how much he enjoyed playing against the Bhoys, especially in Glasgow.

Kaka faced off against Celtic on seven occasions in his career and scored three goals in those fixtures.

He was on the losing team just once, scoring in a 2-1 loss at Parkhead in 2007-08 and his perhaps most memorable moment against Celtic came with the winning goal in the last 16 of the Champions League back in 2006-07.

But Celtic fans will no doubt be pleased to hear that a player of Kaka’s ability still has such fond memories of playing in Paradise. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before Celtic can pack their fans into Parkhead once again.
