Brandon Barker limped out of action for the Rangers Colts yesterday as Steven Gerrard watched on. The winger came off in the 67th minute of the side’s cup loss to Partick Thistle, with Serge Atakayi replacing him.
It was a bitter blow for the player, who is trying to force his way into the first-team plans at Ibrox following his summer move from Manchester City.
Unfortunately, niggling injuries do appear to be a blight on Barker’s career to date.
The winger rarely picks up a big injury, however, Rangers fans might have to get used to his absence.

He missed the end of last season’s loan spell at Preston North End with an injury. His time at Hibernian in 2017-18 was interrupted because of knee trouble. He also had thigh problems whilst on loan at NAC Breda the season previous to that.
Rangers invested in the talented winger knowing that with his pace and dribbling ability he can be a handful for defences in the Scottish Premiership.
However, fans will be hoping he can shake off this latest injury blow and remain fit for a prolonged period of time.
