Leeds United youngster Jordan Stevens moved to Bradford City on Friday on loan until the end of the season, something which has been met with huge excitement by their interim manager, Mark Trueman.
Stevens spent the first half of the season in League One with Swindon Town, where he was in and out of the starting XI despite making 15 appearances across all competitions.
The Yorkshire giants decided though to end the 20-year-old’s spell with Swindon this month and have sent him to League Two outfit Bradford.
He will now be hoping to become a nailed-on starter after dropping down to the fourth-tier to continue his development.
Stevens is a right-winger by trade that moved to Elland Road back in 2018 from Forest Green Rovers and he’s played in the Leeds first team six times, but he now needs more regular minutes at senior level.
If the comments of Bradford’s interim boss are anything to go by, the Leeds loanee could be set for a star role at Swindon in the second half of the campaign.
“Jordan is someone we have been monitoring closely for a while, now, and we are delighted to have got his signing completed,” Trueman told their official website.
“Leeds United have been great in agreeing to recall him from Swindon and allowing him to join us. At this level, we are confident he will bring a lot to our squad.
“He is a very talented player – with raw pace and a naturally direct edge to his play – and we are looking forward to seeing him in action.”

TBR’s View:
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has shown that there is certainly a route from the academy to the senior team, even this season now that they are in the Premier League.
Stevens is a skilful wide player that is highly-rated by parent club Leeds, which shows in their decision to interrupt his loan to give him more football elsewhere.
He should be able to make a huge impact in League Two if he’s got aspirations of becoming a first-team player at Elland Road, so it’s a very important six months coming up for him.
