Bradford fans react on Twitter to Leeds loanee Bryce Hosannah’s league debut

With the club loaning out their most promising youngsters for the first time since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival this summer, Leeds United will be delighted to see that Bryce Hosannah is making a big impression down the road with Bradford City.

The right-back was handed his league debut for the Bantams on Saturday. And it proved to be an incredibly successful afternoon for the 21-year-old as Bradford beat Mansfield 3-1.

As shown by Whoscored.com, Hosannah made 30 successful passes. He also managed two clearances and two interceptions. He actually topped the Bradford charts for interceptions.

And his performance prompted Bradford to nominate Hosannah for their man of the match award on Twitter following the game.

Ultimately, the defender took more than 61 percent of the vote – although some may argue that Leeds supporters may have played a role in him winning so comfortably.

That should still take little away from how impressive Hosannah was in the victory. Many Bradford fans clearly feel that he is going to prove to be an inspired signing.

It looks set to be a crucial loan spell for the Leeds man. Of course, it is going to be difficult for Hosannah to put pressure on a stalwart such as Luke Ayling.

But from the outside, with Cody Drameh joining the club in the summer, it does look to be incredibly important that Hosannah does well with Bradford ahead of his return to Elland Road next summer.

There is a long way to go. But he could have hardly wished for a better start.

Here is how some of the Bradford fans reacted to the Leeds loanee’s display…
