Bradford City’s temporary boss, Conor Sellars, has revealed that Leeds United winger Jordan Stevens is a player he is a fan of, after rumours emerged Stevens could sign for the Bantams.
The 20-year-old could be on the move again after seeing his loan spell with Swindon grind to a bit of halt due to a lack of regular first-team minutes.
It is claimed that Bradford want to sign Stevens, with the Bantams said to be keen on adding the youngster from their Yorkshire neighbours.
And speaking to the Telegraph and Argus today, Sellars admits that he is a fan of the Leeds youngster.
“Jordan is somebody that we are aware of. Obviously, he’s been at Leeds for a few years now and we’ve watched him in their (under) 23s and at Swindon as well. He’s definitely a player that we rate,” Sellars commented.
Bradford are currently languishing down in 19th place in League Two, and are in desperate need of new faces to try and turn their season around.
Stevens needs another move, he needs football – TBR View
He’s not going to get his chance at Elland Road and so, by rights, Stevens needs to be playing some football to continue his development.
At 20, he’s getting to the stage where he does need that game time in order to keep progressing. It’s simply no use at that age sitting around and not getting any football under your belt.
Bradford might be a good move. A good, honest club and not too far for Stevens to travel. It could be ideal.
