Bournemouth fans react to Spurs loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers’ display

A number of Bournemouth fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Cameron Carter-Vickers as the Tottenham Hotspur loanee shone as the Cherries pulled off an FA Cup upset on Tuesday.

The Championship high-flyers knocked Burnley out at Turf Moor. Goals in either half saw Bournemouth go through to the last eight at the expense of the Premier League side.

It was a fantastic performance from the visitors. And Carter-Vickers was arguably one of the standout performers at the heart of their defence.

There is plenty of uncertainty surrounding Carter-Vickers heading into the summer. As shown by Transfermarkt, he is out of contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Spurs boast plenty of centre-back options. So it seems highly likely that he will be looking for a new challenge in the summer.

And it appears that plenty of Bournemouth fans would like to see Carter-Vickers signed permanently following his FA Cup display.

They believe that he has a lot of potential. It may be too late for the centre-back to force his way into the fold at Tottenham. But his display did arguably hint at why Spurs have kept him on the books for so long.

With that in mind, here is how some of the Bournemouth fans reacted to his display…
