Bournemouth placed one foot in the Championship play-off final on Monday evening with an excellent 1-0 win over Brentford at the Vitality Stadium – and Cherries fans have raved about Tottenham star Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Jonathan Woodgate’s side squeezed into the play-offs and have been tasked with downing Brentford, who will be desperate to gain promotion to the Premier League – having lost to Fulham in last season’s play-off final.
But Thomas Frank’s side are in danger of exiting the play-offs at the semi-final stage after losing 1-0 to Bournemouth on Monday. Arnaut Danjuma scored the only goal of the game on 55 minutes, as the Cherries kept a clean sheet.

United States international and Tottenham powerhouse Carter-Vickers has been on loan at Bournemouth since last summer, but injuries have limited the defender to just 25 appearances this season. His Spurs contract ends in June.
But the defender looked solid on Monday as he combined with Steve Cook – tasked with keeping Ivan Toney quiet, a striker that has broken the Championship record after scoring 31 goals throughout the campaign.
Toney was kept quiet and Carter-Vickers was excellent for the Cherries. Bournemouth fans took to Twitter to applaud the American defender, who continues to remain on the Tottenham books at least for the next two months.
