Arsenal old-boy Mesut Ozil has branded Tottenham Hotspur as ‘Bottle Job FC’ after reading a statistic about them on Twitter.
Spurs were absolutely amazing in the first 10 games of the season, but their record since the start of November has been abysmal. Ozil, who spent over seven years at Arsenal, decided to poke some fun at his old rivals.

Mesut Ozil calls Tottenham ‘Bottle Jobs FC’
It has been almost three years since Mesut Ozil left Arsenal, but it looks like he still enjoys laughing at Tottenham Hotspur‘s expense.
The German has got on the nerves of Spurs fans on numerous occasions in the past. From making jokes about their trophy cabinet to publicly claiming he’d rather retire than play for them, he has had his fun.
Arsenal fans absolutely loved Ozil for all of the above, and his recent tweet about Tottenham will surely make them adore him even more.
Tottenham‘s loss to West Ham United last night made them the first team in the history of the Premier League to fail to win five consecutive games despite taking the lead in each of those fixtures.
They also became the first team to lose three home games in a row after going 1-0 up in each game.
Ozil read that stat on X last night, and he decided to have a go at Tottenham.
He tweeted: “Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back!”
Tottenham fans will not like this
As you can imagine, Arsenal fans are in hysterics after reading Ozil’s post, but Tottenham supporters are absolutely furious.
Spurs fans are already disappointed with the way their side have fared in their last five games. Just one point out of a possible 15 is a terrible record, despite the issues they’ve had with injuries.
Tottenham need to bounce back as quickly as possible, but things are not getting any easier. They take on Newcastle United next in what will be an extremely difficult game.
If they lose that one, we won’t be surprised to see Ozil have another pop at them on social media.
