Borussia Dortmund Transfer Latest July 2013
Following a successful season, Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund will be looking to improve their line up this Summer.
The German club will be bringing in new players to achieve better results in the forthcoming year.
Here is a look at players Dortmund are possibly targeting.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Shakhtar Donetsk
Despite the offers by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, Henrikh Mkhitaryan wishes to transfer to Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, with whom he has reached an agreement on the contract issue.
All of the above teams have met the terms of the player’s release clause, believed to be in the region of £19 million. However, the Bundesliga side are attempting to quickly complete a deal, therefore removing the threat of competition from other clubs.
Edin Dzeko – Manchester City
Borussia Dortmund will be looking for a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski. Edin Dzeko, who has been unable to keep a place in the Manchester City first team, is a possible target, possessing Bundesliga experience due to a successful spell with Wolfsburg prior to his Premier League move.
If Lewandowski is sold, Dortmund will use funds gained in order to intensifying their pursuit of the Bosnian international.
Christian Eriksen – Ajax
Danish youngster Christian Eriksen has hinted that he could be heading to Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Ajax playmaker has been amongst the most sought after players in Europe for the last couple of seasons due to his impressive performances for the Dutch side. He is the top target for Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but it appears as though the German side could have the upper hand.
