Celtic could snap up highly-rated Bolton Wanderers starlet Luca Connell for just £240,000, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The Hoops are leading the chase for the talented 18-year-old who can leave on the cheap if he moves to a club outside of England.
The Trotters opted to extend the youngster’s youth contract rather than offer him a professional deal and that could now backfire on the crisis-club.
Connell played 12 games for the Trotters during their abysmal 2018/19 campaign and operated mainly as a defensive midfielder.

The Liverpool-born player was recently called up to a Republic of Ireland training camp and looks set for a bright future.
Former Bolton boss Neil Lennon is now in place at Celtic and is desperately keen to land Connell this summer.
TBR Verdict
This is another case of Bolton Wanderers being run appallingly.
The club faces the prospect of losing one of their very best youngsters for just £240,000 and that will leave supporters distraught.
Bolton’s loss is Celtic’s gain, however, and they could land themselves the jackpot with this deal.

Connell is an extremely talented player and he would fit in with the ethos of a very young Celtic squad.
The 18-year-old is useful on the ball and strong in the tackle, whilst he also shows a mature brain for such a young player.
If Celtic are leading the chase for his signature anyway, £240,000 makes it seem like a complete no-brainer and the deal could be tied up quickly.
