Bologna could reportedly move for an Arsenal player once Riccardo Calafiori’s rumoured move to north London is complete.

The Italian international is closing in on a switch to the Emirates Stadium, with Calafiori expected to become Arsenal’s first signing of the summer transfer window, as the Gunners continue to pursue Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley.

Calafiori was one of the breakout stars of Euro 2024 with Italy as the 22-year-old centre-back wowed fans with impressive defensive performances, with the defender’s last-second assist against Croatia a notable high point.

Lauded by Robert Lewandowski as ‘extraordinary’, the former Spezia star could be an ideal replacement for Calafiori at Bologna, who next season could face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League after their historic Serie A finish.

And for Arsenal, Kiwior heading to Bologna in a separate deal could be a smart move for the Gunners, especially with the Italian side in the money once Calafiori is sold coupled with the prize money earned from qualifying for the Champions League.
